I'll go into some more detail about what is going on.
On September 30th our contract with our old ISP ended and we launched a whole new server array and ISP of our own. This was a major step forward for us as a company and will allow us to expand at a pace infinitely more appropriate for our needs. Prior to this change we had a number of server farms at a number of different locations which caused an issue for many users. The new servers we've moved to have a higher bandwidth cap (over 10 times what our previous ones had) and better hardware.
So, why are people experiencing lag? Simple, we are in the process of bringing up our new data center in Vienna, Austria but there is 1 piece missing (literally). Only one company makes this item and it is currently on back order. As soon as we have it we will move all our European servers back there. The difficult part about this is we are unsure when we will receive the missing piece but we're expecting in to arrive any day now.
Moving forward we will have data centers in Irvine, San Paulo, Brazil and Vienna, Austria. Our current plans are for all North America servers to be based out of Irvine, all Latin America servers to be in Brazil and all European Servers to be located in Vienna.
In the mean time we are looking at moving several large servers for War Rock to several test servers that DO work in Vienna. We won't be able to move all of them immediately. Most likely this move will effect the International Server and Germany_1. When this move occurs we will announce it. We know this is frustrating to many players and we do apologize for the inconvenience but in the end this change will improve server performance and connectivity worldwide.
We will post more information regarding this situation as it becomes available.
